Look for similarities, not differences. If you find yourself in a conflict with someone, look for your similarities. Resist the urge to look at their differences. Look for common ground. I would rather talk about the similarities and what is universal in their experiences.
The world is flat and cross-culture living is growing. We hear about discrimination of race, sex, age, religion, occupation, neighbourhood, educational background, and many others. The majority of differentiation is caused by giving favourable treatment to people who share your characteristics. Generally, people engage with peers who are culturally similar to themselves. Globalisation continues to break down barriers.
